Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People & Vulnerable Adults- Level 3: 1 dayList Item 1
This course is designed for all persons, no matter the field that they are directly involved in, to give them the tools and knowledge to make a difference to a vulnerable person’s life. It will also let the practitioner reporting the abuse know how they can safeguard themselves in every day work, while seeking help and reporting the incident identified.
Syllabus
- A range of subjects are covered including:
- Safeguarding legislation and guidance
- Indictors of abuse or neglect
- Making judgements
- Communication
- Roles and responsibilities
- Sharing of information
- Dealing with and reporting of allegations and complaints
- Assessment and marking
Course Duration
6 guided learning hours

A maximum of 12 learners.
Assessment
The final assessment is then done in the form of a recorded professional discussion conducted on a one-to-one basis.

Awareness of Safeguarding in Health and Social Care (Adults and Children and Young People), Early Years and Childcare - Level 1- 1/2dayList Item 2
This is an excellent introduction to health and safety in the workplace and will benefit all employees, particularly those who may be accepting a health and safety role, such as a safety representative within their organisation.
Syllabus
A range of subjects are covered including:
- Define ‘safeguarding of adults at risk’.
- Define ‘safeguarding children’.
- Identify the policies and procedures that organisations must have to safeguard adults and children.
- Outline the responsibility of self and others for safeguarding of adults and children.
- Give examples of the indicators of harm, abuse and neglect.
- Identify what actions should be taken if there are concerns about harm, abuse and neglect.
- Describe the boundaries of confidentiality and when to share information.
- Identify sources of support and information in relation to safeguarding.
